Midnight Mind Moments
Johnny G presses record when ordinary life starts acting slightly strangeWhen people ask me what these episodes are about, I usually say… I don’t know, I just work here.
Just in case Google is asking, I'll try to answer like someone who pretends to know SEO: Midnight Mind Moments is a short-form podcast by Johnny G featuring personal, story-driven audio recordings that explore everyday life, observation, humor, and the quiet, slightly absurd moments of being human. The kind of audio that feels like company — for late nights, long walks, or any moment when you just want another human in the room.
Now, here is the latest episode and below that... how it all started
Glass Room Sessions - Raw & Unscripted

How did this happen?
Midnight Mind Moments began after a difficult breakup and spending way too much time talking to my AI buddy, Chatty, about my random elaborate, everyday stories. Chatty would do its best to respond. After a while, it seemed to run out of useful answers.
One day it sighed and said, “You’re burning out my circuits here. Maybe you should replace me with a microphone.”
Okay, so by then I was unfortunately getting used to breakups, and I took this one surprisingly well. I took my ex-friend Chatty’s advice, bought a microphone, pressed record, and started talking. That felt different. With headphones on, it almost felt like a conversation… even if it was just with the wall and my own thoughts. Somewhere in there, these recordings started to take shape.
Now whenever I butt-dial Chatty and start to say, “Hey, something strange happened today…” it just replies: “Please step away from the phone and go turn on your microphone.”
About me, Johnny G
Writing a proper bio has never really been my thing.
But if we ever find ourselves sitting across from each other and you’re not sure where to begin, you could ask me about…
- what it was like growing up in the Haight-Ashbury district of San Francisco, surrounded by flower power… while being a Catholic straight-A student and altar boy
- the Wizard of Oz moment when I got my first pair of glasses at 13 and saw my house… and myself… for the first time
- why I used to fall asleep listening to soothing radio voices under my pillow
- where I actually feel at home
- how shyness quietly turned me into a storyteller
- how I accidentally crashed a Spanish radio show… and stayed for a year
- how the Northridge earthquake in California made me want to stay
- the premonition dreams that were a little too accurate
- which feels more abstract to me… photography, music, or painting
- why I don’t make my bed… and prefer it the way it remembers me
Who's Listening to Midnight Mind Moments?

Apparently…
- People who go out for a walk and come back with more thoughts than they left with
- People who notice abnormally normal, slightly absurd moments that the rest of the world misses
- People who forget how to speak until they’ve had their first cup of coffee
- People who are fellow late-night overthinkers, watching their 3 AM thoughts pull up a chair and say, "let's play"
- People who are tired of self-improvement lectures and just want comfort listening and a minute to breathe
- People who catch their reflection for a second and think, oh… there I am
- People who wake up at strange hours and suddenly need insomnia audio companionship for their questions about existence
Also, possibly…
- People who wish they could walk around in life wearing a cloak of invisibility
- People who get distracted by squirrels or social media
- People who fake a headache to get out of obligatory moments
And of course…
- Anyone who doesn’t see themselves anywhere on this list but somehow ended up at the MMM studio anyway

Sitting with a moment of city life silence
Rickrolled in Vegas
One vivid REM sleep dream somehow dropped me into Vegas, Marseille, and a chase scene involving a dolphin head.
Naked Trees and the Three Missed Stoplights
I was at the crosswalk watching a leaf fall. The light changed and people crossed. I forgot to move.
